An energy bomb is what Charline wants to bring to Ghent with her contemporary art gallery. By creating each month a unique exhibition with a mix of artists that accentuate each other. The aim is to represent inspiring artists, each with their unique stories.

The gallery offers to each visitor a good portion of energy, culture and a BIG smile.

Laurie Skantzos

Colourful wall sculptures

Straight from Canada, Laurie presents colourful wall sculptures. The development of this body of intimately sized wall sculptures has acted as a form of meditation and self-awareness. She found over time that she could lose herself in the creation of each piece, while steadying her mind and emotions in colour play and paint application. Her process attempts to inject a metaphoric lightness into the work, as the application of fluorescent edges makes the pieces visually float. This creates a lively, dynamic dialogue between the work and the wall, between the art and its immediate context. The colourful reflection feels like an aura of optimism and resilience.

Barbara Cox

Colourful Universe

Lawyer by profession, renowned photographer and a young mother, Barbara Cox is a Belgian painter living in Walloon Brabant.
Her dreamlike and colorful universe is an enchanted garden.
Barbara seeks to amaze, to make you happy.

Isabelle Derecque

Mirror Artist

Isabelle Derecque's (1984) path starts at the College of Advertising & Design in Brussels. Strengthened by experiences and travels, espacially in London where she spent several months after her studies of Interior Architecture & Design, she developed a sensibility to light and gold leaf, the signature materials of her oeuvre. The choice to work with mirrors is not just a matter of aesthetics, but an invitation to look at the spaces that surround us, putting ourselves into perspective and creating our own stage. Pigments, lines of black and white vinyl or scalpel etchings and syringe paintings reflect a rigorous state of mind. But above all, Isabelle tells a poetic story from an architectural angle, visualized through geometry, perspectives, contrasts and reflections.

Sculpted Painting

His inspiration comes from a crystallization of his daydreams throughout his work. It could be described as the photo of a thought. Indeed, by playing on contrasts, he hopes to arouse an emotion and tell a story while letting his imagination guide him. The painting is therefore a work that will remain mysterious until the last brush stroke.

Plexi Wall Sculptures

Sparkling yet controlled, rational yet warm : Joséphine’s world is full of contrasts. Her lively colours are counterbalanced by the cold of the concrete ; the plexiglas shapes play tricks on the perfect geometry of her compositions. Les délires de Joséphinehave an almost peaceful regularity, but they arouse curiosity in an explosion of colours. Website - Instagram

Anne De Mol

High perched sculptures

To create large sculptures, light and transparent, perched for the most part on high steel feet, she has developed her own technique.
It interweaves threads and fibers coated with white aggregates made up of a mixture of different resistant materials, including resin.
