Julie Loeckx

200 x 150 cm (framed)

Charity Auction Starting Soon 16/12

The online auction for this remarkable artwork by Julie Loeckx will open very soon. Collectors will have the exclusive opportunity to place bids, with all proceeds donated to Habbekrats Antwerpen and their vital work for vulnerable youth. Supporting young people remains a priority for us and this collaboration brings that commitment to life in a meaningful way. The XL artwork will be on view in the gallery from 16 December. Experiencing the piece in person reveals its full presence and energy. For Julie Loeckx it reflects the urban jungle with its optimism, dynamism, and underlying challenges. The result is a compelling balance between beauty and rawness that defines her artistic vision. Julie Loeckx is a rapidly emerging voice in contemporary painting. Her distinctive and poetic visual language explores the space between figuration and abstraction, intimacy and distance. Through layered compositions and subtle emotional tension, her paintings evoke presence, memory, and introspection. Julie has established a strong reputation through solo exhibitions at respected Belgian venues. Her work has been acquired by private collectors in Belgium and abroad who value the emotional clarity, authenticity, and intuitive strength that define her practice. Her paintings radiate color and optimism. Through a refined interplay of hues, gestures, and lines, Julie captures beauty, movement, and wonder. Whether soft and contemplative or bold and expressive, her style remains unmistakable and deeply sincere. With a background in landscape architecture and urban planning, Julie brings a human centred perspective to her work. This experience continues to inform her attention to space, emotion, and visual rhythm. A significant recent milestone is her 2025 mural for Schilde Town Hall. Commissioned as part of the town’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, the project highlights her ability to translate emotional depth into impactful public artworks. Julie continues to expand her practice through exhibitions, commissions, and collaborations, contributing to her growing visibility within the contemporary art landscape.
