Premiere – NEW COLLECTION ‘Reflection of Light’

During this exhibition, Wouters unveils the premiere of his new wall sculpture collection, Reflection of Light. Known for his refined sculptural practice, the artist now extends his vision to the wall, creating works that merge architecture, transparency and movement.

Each piece is hand cast in layered resin without the addition of other materials. This process reveals the pure essence of the medium, where subtle variations in light and color give rise to ever-changing visual effects. Viewed from different angles, the artworks seem to shift and breathe with the surrounding space.

The Reflection of Light collection represents the culmination of years of research and experimentation, pushing the expressive boundaries of resin to new heights. The result is a minimal yet dynamic body of work that blurs the line between sculpture and light installation.

The Artist and His Approach

Willem Wouters is a Belgian architect and artist whose practice bridges design, architecture and sculpture. Trained at the Catholic University of Leuven (KUL) in Ghent and the International University of Catalonia (UIC) in Barcelona, he refined his architectural language through experience at leading studios in Paris before returning to Belgium in 2015 to establish his own creative practice.

His work is guided by a minimalist and architectural sensibility, balancing geometric clarity with organic depth. Through continuous experimentation, he has developed a distinct technique that unites craftsmanship, material innovation and spatial awareness.

Each artwork is handmade and unique, characterized by a refined interplay of light, transparency and texture. In his creations, resin becomes both structure and emotion, offering a meditative reflection on form, perception and space.
