For its 2025 Mother’s Day campaign, Lancôme invited Barbara Cox to create the visual universe of its exclusive gift set. As one of the world’s most iconic luxury beauty houses, founded in Paris in 1935, Lancôme is known for its heritage, excellence and highly selective artistic collaborations. This invitation marks a significant and prestigious recognition of Barbara Cox’s distinctive artistic language on an international level.

Developed at the Domaine de la Rose in Grasse, the historic heart of French perfumery, the collaboration unfolds around themes of love, transmission and femininity. Conceived during the artist’s pregnancy, the project carries a rare emotional depth, giving the work an intimate and personal dimension.

The visual world created for Lancôme draws directly from Barbara Cox’s Garden of Dreams collection. This body of work, embraced within the collaboration, is an ode to imagination and wonder. The compositions develop intuitively, where symbolic elements such as flowers, strawberries and eyes emerge through vibrant layers of colour. The presence of the Barb’Happy figures introduces a playful and poetic dimension, inviting the viewer into a deeply personal and immersive universe.

To mark this exceptional collaboration, Barbara Cox has released a strictly limited edition of only 29 prints, each one personalised by the artist. Barbara Cox is a Belgian artist living near Brussels whose vibrant and imaginative work has earned strong international recognition.
